## Experience

### Android tech lead, monetization, Dropbox (2023-11 – 2027-01)
- Ran the team behind monetization in the Dropbox Android app: subscription flows, paywalls, pricing experiments.
- Also built media and preview features with Media3, including Live Photos and folder playback, and made sync actions non-blocking.
- Kept revenue safe during service disruptions — worked across PMs, EMs and stakeholders to fix things fast.
- Built AI-agent tooling so the team could offload real tasks — reviews, investigations, test runs — to agents.

### Android developer, de facto team lead, UNUM (2020-06 – 2023-07)
- Started UNUM's Android app from the first commit — a three-person team building a social-media planning tool for creators and brands.
- Ran the Android side day to day, fully remote with the US-based company.

### Android developer, one of the first three on the team, Ryanair (2016-07 – 2020-06)
- Joined as one of the first three Android developers; we went on to drive every change in the app and grew the team to 11.
- Led many architectural shifts in the main Ryanair Android app, now at 50M+ downloads on Google Play.
- Built internal apps from scratch, including a communication app for cabin crew and a mystery-passenger app for rating staff.

### Senior software engineering specialist, BLStream (2015-08 – 2016-07)
- Picked up the trickiest bugs and the deepest architectural work, and started mentoring juniors.

### Software engineering specialist, BLStream (2013-02 – 2015-07)
- Android developer on an all-in-one secure browser with a built-in secure email client, built for a global security company's enterprise and government customers.
- A complex codebase with a native JNI communication layer migrated from Palm OS; BLStream's most important project at the time.

### Founder, developer, Own apps (sole proprietorship, alongside full-time work) (2011-07 – present)
- Eight (2017), Diabetes ++ (Apr 2018), Health+ Weight (Oct 2018) and Blood Pressure: Health+ (Nov 2018).
- Blood Pressure (My Heart) went live on Google Play in July 2011. The aim was simple: the best blood pressure tracker on the market.
- It has since passed 15 million downloads and is rated 4.3 by more than 56,000 people. Diabetes and Fertility Calendar followed.
- Store listings in over 30 languages, with keyword research and copy done by a chain of agents
